A virtuous woman is precious. A virtuous woman is of noble character, fully trustworthy and an asset to her husband. Proverbs 31:10-31. A virtuous woman is a hard worker, generous to and aware of the poor and needy. A virtuous woman is her husband’s delight. A virtuous woman is God’s delight.
What does it mean to be delightful?
To delight is to please someone well or take great pleasure in something which gives joy. As a woman or a sister, to bring great delight to God implies shinning your light. Matthew 5:14. Deborah was a light for forty years in her home and society and this greatly brought great delight unto God.
Many are not operating at their best because they do not know who they are, they are not conscious of what God has given to them because they are experiencing identity crises. Many do not know their purpose in the home, Church, nation, and the world at large. It is God’s delight that we know our identity and function as expected. Only God is the source of our identity. Genesis 1:26-27, Genesis 2:19. When we discover our identity then we can recover all the enemy has stollen from us. Joel 2:25. God is delighted when we take our place as virtuous women.
According to Psalms 139:14; you are fearfully and wonderfully made to function as;

The woman was created to be a delight to both God and man (world). Genesis 2:21-23. You are created to be the wood that keeps your fire (husband, children, and society) burning for God.

HOW TO BE HIS DELIGHT?
-
Check your passion. Your passion is reflected in your cravings and hunger. Are you still passionate for God like before? When was the last time that you went on Evangelism, Visitation, Prayer and Fasting? Your passion makes you pursue God above all and despite all. Regular communion through praise, worship, quite time and kingdom service are tools for pursuing God. If you are not doing these things, it implies that you are not making God joyful, which implies you need to renew your passion and return to these areas of service which will make you His delight. Revelations 2:4-5.
-
Check your wine. The level, quality and the quantity of your wine is vital in manifesting as His delight. The wine here refers to the Holy Spirit. Eph. 5:18. A woman full of the Holy Spirit delights God. As you constantly drink of Him, you delight Him and in turn you get delighted by God, He puts an end to; worry, stress, burnout and struggles in your relationships. What is your wine level?
-
Check your wine skin. Luke 5:37-39. Your attitude represents your wine skin. Are you making things happen for good or you are giving excuse? Many Christian women are in the habit of discussing the shortcomings of their husbands, pastors, brethren in the church with unbelievers, how do you expect the unbeliever to believe and join the fold? It is time to check your wine skin. Good thought leads to good attitude, and good attitude leads to great altitude. Proverbs 23:7. To be His delight, settle down to enhance the quality of your thought. Ponder the Word of God and let it renew your mind. 2 Cor. 13:5
-
Check your Home. Your home is your first church. Acts 1:8. A stable, healthy, and growing family will always be God’s delight. Genesis 1:26-27. Many are neglecting their home and focusing on their career or even service in the church, no, your home is your first church. A woman who places value on her family spiritual growth and physical wellbeing will delight God any day, anytime. Proverbs 31. To be His delight, return to your godly family values: playing, planning, and praying with your family.
-
Check yourself. You are created for glory. Isaiah 43:7. To manifest this glory, you need to give attention to yourself. 1 Corinthians 3:16–17. Love and appreciate yourself, eat well (quality and quantity), dress well, sleep well (rest) and take out time to be with your spouse and children. The healthier you are, the more useful you are to God.
-
Check out for any entanglement. To be His delight, all entanglement must be removed. Hebrews 12:1. Some of them include gender inequalities, tradition, religion, age, fear, low self-esteem, sin and so on. Proverbs 12:22. To be His delight, you must break away from all entanglement. It is time to break fallow grounds. Hosea 10:12. It is time to let go of that past, be willing to love, forgive and you will be His delight. Philip. 3:13.
CONCLUSION
Living a life that delights God is His expectation towards you but you have to be blameless. Pro 11:20.
Are you blameless? Is your passion for the Lord still intact? What is the level of your wine and your wineskin? Are you building your home and yourself? Have you removed all barriers to your manifestation as His delight? Have you given your life to Jesus, or have you gone back to your sin? Why not come to Jesus today, God delights in you as His delight.
